Jessica Crawford, MD
Dr. Jessica Crawford graduated in 2014 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. During this time, she served as a research assistant in novel cell line development. She continued her studies at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine where she graduated with high distinction while volunteering regularly at the Hope Springs Ophthalmology Free Clinic. She then completed her Internal Medicine internship and Ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. During her residency, she received Excellence in Residency, as well as published articles, posters and gave oral presentations at the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery meetings.
Dr. Crawford completed her two-year ASOPRS sponsored fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery directed by Drs. Kenneth Cahill, Jill Foster, Cameron Nabavi and Daniel Straka. During this fellowship she received extensive training in the areas of cosmetic facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow/forehead lift, facelift, and laser resurfacing techniques to reduce facial wrinkles. She is also trained in the medical and surgical management of many conditions affecting the eyelids, eye socket (orbit), and tear ducts in both adults and children. These include droopy eyelids (ptosis), upper and lower eyelid malposition (ectropion, entropion, retraction), eyelid or periocular skin cancers, orbital tumors and fractures, blocked tear ducts, congenital eyelid malformations, and thyroid eye disease.
Dr. Crawford grew up in the suburbs of Louisville, Kentucky. She has enjoyed spending her time in Columbus, Ohio and is excited to provide her community with excellent care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, hiking, and baking.
